Why an American Alsatian...our first dog was a shepherd, he lived to 13. he had to deal with hip displasia the last 3 years were very hard for him, we carried him up n down stairs so he could do his buisness. anyone who has helped a pet through this type of pain knows the heartache.
after we lost our 14 yr old rottie, i was on a quest to find a lg breed without the health plagues they come with. we found the alsatian. we investigated, drove to the breeders home and saw for ourselves what she was doing, not many breeders main goal is health not $$$$$$$$$. but the American Alsatian is in different hands!! if you love the german shep or other large breeds but cannot bring yourself to support the breeding of weak painful hips and a host of other issues being shamelessly continued for $$$,this breed may be your answer.
Jo is just over 3 1/2 yrs old now.  We are so pleased.
